Claiming ownership Canonical
If you have public images in Amazon EC2 we are already indexing them and providing as much information as we actually can.
We gather information from the Amazon wiki pages and other sources to complete the names, descriptions and other information.
You can edit that information by claiming your images.
We will ask you to put a file inside the same S3 bucket the image is stored into, we'll check for the file and if it's present, assign you rights to all the images owned by yourself.
Since that moment you can configure you or your organization name and description and the information for all your images.
